Trappe Tavern Thunder Fall League Champs!!

Trappe Tavern Thunder had a good season in the Norristown Fall League going 7-3 for the year.  We had a rainout last Wednesday and those games were not made up.  THunder went 3-0 yesterday in the Fall League Touney.  Thunder was led by the legend himself Ken Shemonski.  Kenny made everyone on the team play better and led with his bat.  Kenny was the regular season home run champ by hitting 12 homers in just 10 games, even though he was walked and pitched around, he made sure when he was able to swing it counted.  Bobby Ashworth and Dave Halter followed him up by making sure TNT payed when they walked Kenny.  Ivo Salvi also proved his leadership skills in the outfield by tracking down every ball that came his way.  Ron Weikel and Carlo "the guy from NY" also helped tremendously in the outfield.  Carlo made a number of catches at the Fence, I'm suprised it's still standing.  Thunder also had especially strong play by Bill Brown who was the finals MVP.  Bill played a lights out 3rd base and hit seeds all year long.  Billy Led the gang on the field and in the dugout.  Dave Halter and Rob Bickleman split pitching duties for most of the season and did a stand up job on the mound.  Bob Ashworth and Rob Sambrick also covered the middle of the field.  Big Daddy aka John Grady also punished the ball hitting seeds all over the place and getting big hit after big hit even battling an injury.   Mike and Ronny were the elder statesman of the team and definitely did not play like it.
